Details about the role
We're looking for a UI/UX Designer who combines strong visual design skills with a solid understanding of user experience principles. You'll be responsible for designing intuitive, user-centric digital experiences across web and mobile platforms while collaborating closely with clients, product managers, developers, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has worked on real client projects, is confident presenting and defending design decisions, and enjoys solving business and user problems through thoughtful design.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and project requirements.
- Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and UX audits where required.
- Define user flows, information architecture, customer journeys, and wireframes.
- Design visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces for websites and mobile applications.
- Create interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
- Develop responsive designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Build and maintain design systems, reusable components, and UI guidelines.
- Present design concepts and clearly communicate design rationale to clients and project teams.
- Collaborate closely with developers during implementation to ensure design quality and feasibility.
- Incorporate feedback from clients, users, and stakeholders to continuously improve designs.
- Stay updated with UI/UX trends, best practices, accessibility standards, and emerging design technologies.
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of UI design fundamentals including typography, colour, layout, spacing, hierarchy, and visual consistency.
- Solid knowledge of UX principles including user-centred design, usability, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to interact directly with clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to balance user needs with business objectives.
- Experience collaborating with developers, product managers, and crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of responsive design principles.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development constraints is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience designing digital products for web and mobile platforms.
- Expert proficiency in Figma including Auto Layout, Components, Variables, and Design Systems.
- A strong portfolio showcasing real client/commercial work across web or mobile applications.
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
- Experience designing responsive interfaces across multiple screen sizes.
- Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.
- Experience conducting user research or usability testing is an advantage.
- Applications consisting primarily of academic projects, bootcamp assignments, or conceptual case studies without commercial project experience will not be considered.
