Details about the role

We're looking for a “QA Lead” to own quality strategy and delivery across our web and mobile applications. You'll lead a team of manual and automation QA engineers, architect and drive our test automation framework and CI/CD integration, and be the primary owner of QA process, coverage, and metrics across multiple concurrent projects.

What You'll Do

  • Own QA strategy, planning, and delivery across multiple projects
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manual and automation QA engineers, including performance reviews and skill development
  • Architect, own, and evolve the test automation framework(s); define coding standards and best practices for automation scripts
  • Drive integration of automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and define the CI/CD test strategy
  • Define test strategy, test plans, and QA processes across projects, including risk-based test prioritization
  • Track automation coverage, test execution metrics, and QA ROI; report quality status to engineering and business leadership
  • Review automation scripts and test cases authored by the team
  • Own API testing and backend data validation strategy across projects
  • Set and enforce defect management, triage, and bug-reporting standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams on sprint planning, release validation, and UAT
  • Evaluate and recommend QA tooling (automation frameworks, test management, performance testing)
  • Step in on hands-on manual/automation testing as needed, especially for critical releases

What You Bring

  • Deep understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and QA governance/process design
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable reporting quality status to leadership
  • Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr, including setting up QA workflows and dashboards
  • Exposure to performance/load testing tools such as JMeter or k6
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl) for test generation or maintenance

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in software testing (Manual + Automation), including at least 2 years leading or mentoring a QA team
  • Proven experience architecting and owning a test automation framework, not just writing scripts within one
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Puppeteer, with solid scripting ability in JavaScript, Java, or Python
  • Strong experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)
  • Strong experience across Web Application Testing, CMS platforms, E-commerce applications, and Mobile Application Testing
  • Experience with API testing (Postman or REST Assured) and strong SQL skills for backend data validation
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning and release management
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent projects and QA teams independently
  • Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
  • Experience building or scaling a QA team, including hiring
