We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer/Lead to join our team. As a Backend Developer/Lead, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic and infrastructure of our web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable backend solutions.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain server-side logic and infrastructure for web applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement backend requirements.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using TypeScript, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
• Utilize AWS services, such as Lambda and AWS-CDK, to build cloud-based solutions.
• Leverage the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to define and deploy infrastructure-as-code resources.
• Optimize and fine-tune backend systems for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in backend development, AWS, and cloud technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and expertise.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with AWS and its cloud-based services.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway. SNS, SQS, EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS)
• Solid understanding of serverless architecture and experience with AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency with AWS-CDK (Cloud Development Kit) for infrastructure as code.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, database systems, and web application architecture.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies and frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.
